Neat, thanks! I was thinking about making it an npm package. I will keep this ticket open until you finish your package so we can mention it in our README and on the website.

Sweet, thanks. I plan to get it polished asap and keep it actively up to date (with jshint).

If anyone wants to contribute or (constructively) criticize let me know. :-)

PS, I had a thought.

I was planning on switching to jasmine for testing (because I have not used it). You mentioned you were thinking of making it an npm package. Well, if you were not still planning on implementing it, would it be desirable for me to just fork and merge the final code under jshint/jshint?

I figure if it happens to be the CLI and package that is adopted, it would help to have it in one repo and universally contributed to (unlike how the lint npm packages are at the moment :-s).

Fork/merge sounds like a good idea unless it will add tons of npm/cli-only files into the repo. I would like to keep the main repo a clean .js file that can be included anywhere.

Is it possible to move npm files to some other directory and generate the package with make? I am open to ideas.

ah, I was somewhat thinking the same thing. :-)

It would probably add at least two folders and another file (if the Jakefile is removed). :-s It was actually one of the reasons why I created the separate repo in the end, though I was not sure what you (or anyone else) thought.

The idea for generating with make sounds great as well, though based on your point, I (imho) would not mind keeping the two repositories separate, especially to keep things simple and concise.

i.e. maybe even something like jshint/node-hint ?

Or I can just keep it on my account. Whichever you think will work best (don't want to step on any toes). I also managed to shape it up a lot today (and will continue to).

cheers,

Yeah, we can create a separate repo under the jshint account for npm package. Email me at [email protected].
