I ran into a problem setting up internal links in juncture editor where the internal links function normally when opened with juncture preview but return a 404 not found page if the juncture page is opened in a separate link.
For example, the paragraph starting with 'Sixteenth- and seventeenth-century...' in Arbor vitae
Text is not highlighted when hovering over markers (Montreal and Quebec) in map
For paragraph that starts with "By the early modern period, dittany was often described in herbals in three forms."
Viewer shows 3 separate images, when they should be placed side by side.
Paragraph that starts with : "Henderson's botanical illustration highlights a trait of sunflowers that we may overlook due to our casual familiarity with the plant. Its flower heads are not single blossoms."
Once upon a time I tested some labels for some images. Then I decided against using those labels, but the labels persist. I'm guessing because they're still on the manifest that's coming back from iiif.juncture-digital.org?
for paragraph that starts with: "European understandings of the dragon tree evolved as scientific botany developed from the late medieval through..."
In the first paragraph in Boxwood
Use free version by default for Juncture. Provide a way to override this via site config.
First paragraph in Freedom From Scurvy section in Arbor vitae
Header does not resize for mobile friendly view
Have you encountered any issues with GitHub pages deployment after recent updates? My fork works locally but seems to fail on deployment.
In Banana essay, paragraph that starts with: "During this early period of renewed European interest in the banana, there was great uncertainty surrounding the identification, depiction..."
In Agave essay, paragraph that starts with: "Exchanging plant specimens and botanical knowledge was about more than solidifying friendship with like-minded individuals."
The paragraph text is missing, only section header text is showing.
Expected behavior:
-Mousewheel scrolling and Gesture scrolling on a touchpad (such as a Macbook touchpad) scrolls the essay component whether the header or the essay is hovered, but not when the viewer is hovered
Actual behavior:
For example, in the paragraph 'It is clear that by the mid-seventeenth...' in Arbor vitae
show-labels
is specified on ve-map
tag but labels are not shown
Write a custom VS code extension as a syntax and attribute checker
See paragraph starting 'Thanks to the medicinal knowledge...' in [Arbor vitae])https://juncture-digital.org/jstor-labs/plant-humanities/arbor_vitae/)
For paragraphs that starts with:
"As many historians of science and medicine have concluded, the use of herbs to “draw the menses down” or “provoke menstruation” was rather well-known and commonplace in pre-modern Europe..."
"While contemporary scientific research has not assessed dittany’s biofactors in relation to reproductive health, researchers have identified pennyroyal’s key active compound, pulegone."
Build in a separate button to start zooming to annotations when the annotation player is active
Some entities are not detected and linked in essay text. One example - the first paragraph in the Ancient Ideologies
section in cacao
is not detecting/linking forest garden
and milpa
.
For paragraph that starts with: "The intensified commodification of the watermelon during the twentieth and especially early twenty-first centuries transformed the fruit’s appearance."
In Heliconia, both paragraphs in section "Nature’s Network in Tropical Forests", D3Plus Ring networks render very small.
The zoom to region when hovering over text is not working for image comparisons, for example in Dittany with the paragraph that starts with: "By the early modern period, dittany was often described in herbals in three forms."
Map markers do not show right away, and appear a few minutes later after revisiting the paragraph.
The last paragraph in Cacao includes a map and 3 images. Only the first image appears.
In Mint essay, 4th to last paragraph that starts with: "The mint industry in Washington and Oregon would go on to develop in line with sophisticated mechanical planting techniques and harvesting equipment."
In paragraph starting with 'One of the finest among these' in Boxwood
Possibly/probably because geojson
attribute is missing in ve-map-layer
tag
Allow for more information to be displayed on hover or click over nodes in network diagrqams
For instance, in cacao
paragraph starting with "Far from its neotropical habitat..." there are 4 referenced locations with custom markers that do not get detected and displayed on map.
See first paragraph in Freedom From Scurvy section in Arbor vitae
