Tech Skills & Career Transition

I'm currently navigating an exciting career transition into software development, where my engagement grows stronger by the day. Python is my foundation, and what I've really been enjoying is working with Django, building top-notch APIs with the Django Rest Framework.

Lately, I've been leveraging Celery to supercharge automated tasks and diving into the features of the Django Rest Framework, like pagination and permissions, enhancing interactions with viewsets using django-filters. For API documentation, drf-spectacular has been my go-to tool, and I'm all about command-line automation with tox and taskpy.

While I'm proficient with Excel and xlwings, I acknowledge that there's more to learn with Docker and Kubernetes, and I'm committed to improving in that area. I've also embraced TDD, employing pytest, Factory Boy, and Hypothesis for unit testing, and Selenium and Playwright for functional tests, keeping everything secure and robust with python-decouple. When it comes to package management, Poetry is my tool of choice for its practicality and efficiency.

Looking ahead, I'm thrilled to delve into Golang and deepen my JavaScript skills, particularly by exploring frameworks like Next.js to extend my development capabilities with React.

At the moment, I'm enhancing my skill set with a postgraduate degree in software engineering, soaking in everything from software life cycles to the implementation of industry best practices. I'm excitedly anticipating the next steps in this journey of learning and growth.

Concurrently, I'm applying my growing expertise by developing a Quality Management System for a calibration company, which is not only a challenging project but also a catalyst for my professional growth. I'm excitedly anticipating the next steps in this journey of learning and growth.

Estou numa transição de carreira para o desenvolvimento de software, e cada dia que passa estou mais envolvido. Python é minha base, e o que realmente tenho curtido é trabalhar com Django, construindo APIs que são um show de bola com o Django Rest Framework.

Recentemente, tenho usado o Celery para dar uma turbinada nas tarefas automáticas e mergulhando nos recursos do Django Rest Framework, como paginação e permissões, melhorando a interação com viewsets através do django-filters. Para documentação de API, o drf-spectacular tem sido meu parceiro, e estou na vibe da automação de comandos com tox e taskpy.

Embora eu já tenha utilizado Docker e Kubernets sei que tenho um caminho a percorrer com essas ferramentas, e estou dedicado a isso. Também estou me jogando no TDD com pytest, Factory Boy e Hypothesis para os testes unitários, além de Selenium e Playwright para os testes funcionais, mantendo tudo nos trilhos com o python-decouple e adotando o Poetry para gerenciar pacotes com simplicidade e eficiência.

Tenho tambem proficiência com excel, principalmente usando em conjunto com Xlwings.

Olhando para o futuro, estou animado para aprender Golang e me aprofundar em JavaScript, especialmente explorando frameworks como Next.js para ampliar meus horizontes no desenvolvimento com React.

No presente, estou me capacitando com uma pós-graduação em engenharia de software, absorvendo conhecimentos sobre os ciclos de vida de software e como aplicar as melhores práticas no desenvolvimento. Paralelamente, estou colocando em prática meu conhecimento crescente, desenvolvendo um Sistema de Gestão da Qualidade para uma empresa de calibração, desafio que está sendo um verdadeiro impulso para o meu crescimento profissional. Estou cheio de expectativa para os próximos passos dessa jornada de aprendizado e evolução.
