This would be really helpful, we didn't find any hint on Linux-only while debugging the installation (on windows). As you said, the readme.md would be a suitable place to mention 👍

Error: IOError: mkdir("iptables-1:1.8.8-1"; mode=0o777): invalid argument (EINVAL)
Interesting, the tarball failed to unpack on Windows because there's a symbolic link in there. I think this is known to the Tar.jl developers, but in any case, it doesn't really matter much because PkgEval.jl is currently Linux-only. I should probably mention that in the README and/or throw an error during package loading.

Theoretically this could work on Windows, in WSL, but that's untested and probably requires changes to Sandbox.jl and PkgEval.jl.
