I currently have a simple uptime monitoring check that checks if the page beta.mybinder.org is available via https and has the word 'GitHub' in it. If it doesn't, it sends me, @minrk, @choldgraf and @willingc an email. This is a start, and we can go from here!

A git repository could be built and launched within some timeframe when it hadn't been built before
How do we do this one? Do we need a flag to make a build request that ignores the image cache? Or do we trigger the build more directly, bypassing binderhub?

@minrk I was thinking we'd just whitebox that test, and delete the built image at the end :D The alternative is that we script the github API to create a new git repository each time :D

As usual, on further thought, I think you are right - we should have a flag that ignores the image cache. However, we should whitelist the github orgs that can use this flag - I don't think it should be available to all.
