That's currently untested, but it should work fine. But as constructors are called in Then
, handlers in indexChain
and resourceChain
will be separate instances (though it shouldn't matter for most middleware).
I'll think about testing and documenting this.

Wouldn't it be nice to also being able to extend a stack with something like
stdStack := alice.New(gzipHandler, ratelimitHandler, securityHandler, authHandler)
indexChain := stdStack.And(xssHandler).Then(indexHandler)
I know it would add a couple of lines to your very tiny helper file but wouldn't it be useful?

This is exactly what I was looking for (factoring out common middleware and then reusing them) but I discounted Alice because it wasn't mentioned anywhere in the README (and I guess I'm not familiar enough to have extrapolated that). Would you be fine with adding an example of reusing middleware in that manner to the README?
