Commercials played through the API do not show on the user's dashboard

This problem reminds me why our auditing needs to be revisited. We audit at the controller level, which has the advantages of being able to audit requests like these (i.e. don't hit the db), but suffer when it comes to having to remember to add audits each and every time we add something new.

This is becoming more and more of an issue now that we have multiple widespread tools that run commercials through the API.
