So I'm using the build of GCC 4.8.1 that ships with ubuntu:
g++ (Ubuntu/Linaro 4.8.1-10ubuntu9) 4.8.1
I don't have this issue at all. Can you just confirm that you haven't changed anything else?
I'd happily accept a patch to fix this issue, just hoping to avoid having to setup opensuse just to reproduce a bug ;)

Hm, so that would be the same version that I have
g++ (SUSE Linux) 4.8.1 20130909 [gcc-4_8-branch revision 202388]
Not sure what would cause this difference, just raising the issue :-) . This isn't all this important to me, as I can build the agent without running the tests, so feel free to skip this issue if it does not bother anyone else.
