I've updated the cipher values. Thanks so much for helping. I'm not very good at figuring these kind of things out.

Alright, so the algorithms can generate a code accepted by the game but not identical to the game? This may be an issue related to the possibility that the checksum is only 4-bits and the other 2 bits are unused, therefore 16 "officially-generated" checksums exist but the game accepts the other 3 characters that share the same 4-bits with the official checksum.

It is indeed as you say, for game and ring secrets those bits appear to be always clear and for memory secrets the bits value depends on the game and the mode, that's why bitmasks are applied as explained in issue 1.
