I'm not sure why this is happening, but it may have something to do with figures or embedded media in those files. Maybe try simplifying the formattings, removing attachments/embedded images in those files, and trying again.

This tool does not support file attachments currently, I didn't need it for my use case, if you'd like to extend it to support them please do so I would welcome PRs.

@karloskalcium Thank you for your remarks! For now I'm not if it would make valid sense to invest into such enhancements since there's currently no working export available from Apple Notes, at least none which really exports all data (images, attachments). The best tool at the moment seems to be "Exporter" app but unfortunately it also doesn't cover all data in my notes. It's a shame that Apple doesn't provide interoperability despite GDPR Data Subject Rights. Even the export via https://privacy.apple.com/ is of terrible quality (especially the notes don't contain links to the attachments). Hopefully someone will tackle this sometime soon...

Sorry to hear that. Re: Exporter tool, you might want to send a note to the developer (https://star-lord.me/), and provide some examples of notes that don't export, maybe he can fix the tool accordingly. I have reported bugs in the past and he was responsive.

@karloskalcium Thank you for the suggestion. Today I found out that Applescript provides options to also export pdf attachments from Notes. There has also been some interesting work from Bear App and Appe Cloud Notes Parser. I lack a bit of capacity right now to spend more time on this but I will certainly follow-up on this topic. Thank you again.
