You change the katharsis.domainName in application.properties to empty string. Your links will no longer contain the url but just the api reference. I dont know if this helps you or not but I thought I would mention it.

You might be able to create a custom filter and use the header param as you mentioned to possibly replace the part of the links that need massaging. Maybe setting the domainName to some key that woul d never appear in any response. Like this: @@DOMAIN_NAME_TO_REPLACE@@

Someone else might have a better idea but maybe as a fallback, I think this would work and require the least amount of effort.

Thanks Keith for that simple and elegant solution. I agree that katharsis.domainName= is the simplest and I can resolve the relative links URL's in the client which has to point to the gateway anyway. Thanks again for your quick help.
