Yes, indeed, I did not noticed that in the documentation it seems, as looked in the math parser explanations. Maybe better would be to add description also there.

The second one is definitely manageable, but it would be best to wait until I finished the new expression parser (currently in a branch). It should be simple to integrate this into it when it's stable enough.

However, the new parser is still highly experimental and unstable, so it will still take quite a while until it can be merged.
