Wil you try custom navigation keys defined at ctbl:table-mode-map?
- cursor move : [h, j, k, l,] or [p, n, b, f]
- line head and end [a, e]
Normal cursor keys are left for normal operations.
It is little complicated to adjust completely...

I can confirm that the pre-defined keys do work with the column names. If I do C-a or C-e, I just need to use one of these keys and the column names will refresh itself to be displayed correctly. Yippee!
Also, I just got this working on Windows too. I got a new job that uses windows exclusively, and I was afraid that this new tool I found (from my old job) no longer works. Time to explore this tool some more...will offer additional feedback as I get more experience.
