Thanks for that, I added a note about the depth parameter in the wiki. Updating Kha doesn't work like that though, you have to check out master (cause submodule update checks out a detached head), then pull in the Kha subdirectory, then submodule update, also in the Kha directory. Don't know of an easier way to do that. The preferred way to do that though will soon be Kit (see http://tech.ktxsoftware.com/new-kit-on-the-blog/ ) which handles that stuff nicely.

This might be old but I'm using source tree to manage my repos. If I want to update Kha and the submodules I simply call on the kha repo:
submodule foreach --recursive git checkout master && git pull origin master
from kha.
With the recent reduction of the repo size and today's haxelib release I think I can call this fixed.
