hey @saberzaid there's an issue for bad permissions setup that crawled from out of nowhere longer while ago. I am aware about issue in here #416. There is a comment in there, so you might want to go there to see what this is all about.

as for WAKATIME_API_KEY, this is already ignored, so it should't be an issue.

One final thing @saberzaid . I never meant with this project to be something that you can use as-is. There's a mess in more places I am willing to admit to ;-). Still if you are interested in figuring out this permission issue on your local machine, please do!
I will gladly accept a PR because this is something I had my mind set on fixing since couple of months. I just haven't found time yet because of other tasks.
