Maybe this api is more convinient:

I'll try implement that.

What's even better, just implement some kind of "import local files" in static files will do the trick.

ahh yes static(['/js/one.js', '/js/two.js', '/js/three.js']) would work better from a developers stand point... having different options is always good

oops, so sorry.. I myself use Grunt.js to manage static files for now. totally forgot about this issue.
i'll try implement it today.

btw, the "import files from other static files" could be done by using grunt-includes plugin. Althoght is may require a little configurement and a building process.

Hi @gahula , this API is now supported. Published as 0.1.0.

Alghought there are a few changes:

1. the template helper autostatic.serve now renamed as autostatic.helper,
   and it's a function, not property now:

ie, the old

app.helpers({
  static: autostatic.serve
})

must be written as:

// as in express 3.x
app.locals({
  static: autostatic.helper()
});
