I've remembered why this issue now exists! The load balancer is now disabled by default, due to some VMware shenanigans I had to disable the load balancer by default, meaning that kube- up is just providing a HA VIP and doesn't provide load-balancing services.
I need to update the docs.

This has been removed from the docs, and once 0.2.1 is merged the docs will be part of the main repository.
