Failed to get resume.dat. Reason: [Errno 13] Permission denied: 'G:\uTorrent'
Shows up in the uTorrentImport plugin tab, in the log.

Okay, make sure that you have full permissions on G:\uTorrent and go ahead and take ownership of G:\uTorrent and everything below it just to be sure:

there's a permission somewhere that's stopping the user running deluge from opening the correct file.

I've gone through those steps in the link and
unfortunately it doesn't help.

EDIT: Even changed security for the whole drive. Not sure what to do here.

What do you have written in the path to resume.dat box?

The path is G:\uTorrent

ah, that may be the problem, the path needs to be the full path to resume.dat so something like G:\uTorrent\resume.dat or wherever it is.

haha, no worries! I'll put in some checks, since permission denied when trying to read a folder like a file is a bit of a cryptic error message.
