I'm not sure how I feel about trying to parse and modify the Vagrantfile automatically. In case you don't already know, Vagrant has port collision handling built-in. Check out the port forwarding section of the manual. I'll leave this open in case someone comes up with a good solution, but I looked into it a bit and it seems like detecting the collision error message wouldn't be an issue, but actually parsing the Vagrantfile to find the port forwarding configuration and changing it might be error prone. There are also other usability issues, such as dealing with multi-machine setups, and it looks like "vagrant up" stops after the first detected port collision, so it wouldn't be able to fix all port collisions in one pass if there are multiple collision.
