Hi,
It seems that you are not using the right path. Could you try to input the full path. It should look something like
path = "/gpfs/commons/home/tbotella/GOTCHA/MPN15/gotcha_fastqs/outsSplit/Filtered/MergedOuts"
Note the outsSplit folder instead of Split
