I experienced the same symptom. I wasted a few minutes because my view was not outputting the laravel errors - make sure you are outputting your laravel errors!
The problem for me was that the model I am trying to make Commentable
uses a string id - not an integer id - which causes CommentsController
to return a validation error. CommentsController
requires an integer input for the commentable_id
which is posted to it. Further, the commentable_id
columns on the comments
table is INT, so removing the validation check just results in a MySQL error. Will post a PR shortly.
For reference, the model that uses a string id comes from WinkPost
model created by writingink/wink

Okey, I see the issue here. You have a table with ID of type string and this package only supports integer IDS.
