That's the normal behavior of the script. I do not know how to open a word processor automatically. I seems to me that the openafter option is more useful to check the general points of the file as a working process.

On OS X just commenting out the check for whether it's an html file actually just works – it opens pdfs in preview and docx in word. I think the more standard way to do it would be to use the open command, but perhaps that doesn't exist on linux/win?

You're right. Commenting this line works on Linux as well. However, I have to keep the "webbrowser.open" command in order to make it works. The "open"command alone is not working, weird...

I will see how I can include this option. I don't know what could be the best: add more menu options or add a command in a comment (as for the bib). What do you think is better?

I think a setting would be best... how about defaulting to using web browser.open unless someone specified which executable a particular file would be opened with?

Incidentally, I would prefer if all the menu options defaulted to opening the file after building – I can't imagine when I would want to just build it without looking.

I will see what I can do for that. I will on this in the next few days.
Thanks
