You should be able to make it work by selecting the prefence make a pop up dialog or something and than selecting a color
from holocolorpicker.

OK. I was hoping to avoid writing the boilerplate code. If someone else wonders how to use this in a preference, it's now implemented in KouChat: HoloColorPickerPreference.java

but what I was trying to say was that I think it is great functionality,
but not for in the library itself.
