Thought I saw an error too but just realized it was an oversight on my part. Wasn't returning the instance on #save like I should have been. @wedesignstudios check the return value of your #save method.

The return value of teddy.save on line 64 is assigned to a dog variable. The spec then checks the id of the dog variable in line 67 with expect(dog.id).to eq(1).
This appears to be correct. The #save method returns the object it was called on.
