I have followed all steps before and also followed steps found in other issues, but no luck.

Your maven output is weird. The error message mention not finding com:gdx-archetype:jar:1 but it should have been searching for com.badlogic.gdx:gdx-archetype:jar:1.2.0. The groupId and version seems to be cut of in the middle.
I copied & pasted your command and it worked for me though.
