This may need a bit more discussion. A shadow experiment would be an experiment present in a lab and whose results have already been recorded. The user could run the same experiment, and have its results displayed side by side with those of the shadow experiment. This would be one more step towards helping reproduce someone else's results: one could visually compare the results they get with those claimed by another group of people.

As a matter of fact, a lab could accommodate multiple runs of the same experiments from different groups of people. These results could accumulate in the saved JSON file. Hence a published lab instance could contain results obtained (and perhaps digitally signed?) by multiple independent groups.
