@ikaiser your template example looks a bit strange for me.. but if you have everything configured properly data is accessible in dialog's controller $scope.parent field (https://github.com/likeastore/ngDialog#data-string)

@ikaiser your case sounds not clear enough.. you can whatever data you want through data property or use existing scope via scope.. Please provide some demo to see exactly what's wrong with your example.
