This is a bit of a strange one. Can we try with PowerShell to rule out a specific problem with the UI?

There should be a log file created by the UI called Lithnet.acma.editor.log. It may be in the application folder, or it may be in your %appdata%\temp. Could you attach that file?

That worked and created the link as expected. I don't see a log file with that name in my app folder or in %appdata%\temp. Is it something I need to enable first?
