Unless we need some more extensive or specific changes, we can probably move this pre-processing into the project manager. That would avoid cluttering the compiler with small details like that, and better isolates responsibility.
However, it also means that we put the responsibility on the API client regarding input text validity, and yeah maybe we don't want to force every consumer to do a bunch of arbitrary string.Replace

each time. Maybe we need some kinda glue between the "guts" of the compiler and a consumer-friendly interface= ?
