Lysdel Tellez's Projects

animal-conservation-web-scraper icon animal-conservation-web-scraper

Scraped data from Wikipedia to display animal conservation status and category. To design a mosaic plot that can provide meaningful insight, I used a smaller portion of the dataset. Narrowing down the data allowed me to focus on animals in the wild with the most critical conservation statuses.

avg.-tip-by-time-party-size icon avg.-tip-by-time-party-size

Created a heatmap of the tips data from previous project. Used the pivot_table() function to aggregate the data. Shaped data using Pandas.

happiness-and-wages-by-country icon happiness-and-wages-by-country

Used the World Happiness Report data from the United Nations and compared it to the Average Annual Wage data from the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD). I used Pandas to combine these two datasets to determine whether there's a relationship between wages and happiness by country. The goal of the analysis is to indirectly compare countries with high and low annual wages and the countries' reported happiness.

happiness-and-work-data icon happiness-and-work-data

Created bubble plot to show relationship between wages and happiness. The goal of the analysis is to indirectly compare countries with high and low annual wages and the countries' reported happiness. The graph indicates that higher salaries are connected to higher happiness scores.

surviving-the-titanic icon surviving-the-titanic

Created a multi-colored scatterplot comparing both age and passenger fare data with those who survived the Titanic. Results show that there is a direct correlation between fare amount and survival, and no relationship at all between age and survival.

tip-percentages-by-party-size icon tip-percentages-by-party-size

Imported csv file containing billing data from a restaurant. Imported Numpy to calculate relationship between party size and tips. Results with Matplotlib show the smaller the party, the higher the tip percentage.
