The issue is that you try to adapt R code for a one-dimensional and two-dimensional problems to your case, which is a 7-dimensional problem. Simply you can't do that and when you try R will give errors.
For instance, when you use
curve(fitness, from = lbound, to = ubound, n = 1000)
you are trying to plot the one-dimensional function fitness
from lbound
to ubound
on a regular grid of n
points. But fitness
has 7 input arguments. How you can do that?
