Looks like the error occurs when trying to write the RPC ID, rather than the request itself. This indicates that the host has already closed the connection when the request is made, most likely due to a timeout.
The host will timeout if the renter does not send a new RPC within two minutes. To account for this, the renterutil
package will automatically assume that it needs to reconnect to the host if two minutes have elapsed since the last RPC. It's possible that there's a race here, such that the host has disconnected, but the renter thinks it hasn't been two minutes yet. So we should try using a smaller timeout value in the renter, perhaps 90 seconds or 1 minute.

We haven't had any major issues with broken pipes with PseudoKV and since hopefully the host will get some more love soon with the new foundation to lower the amount of lockups and timeouts, we can close this for now.
