The arch.sh and chroot.sh scripts are not for public consumption and I don't maintain them at all. They're only there for me for my own use to quickly reinstall Arch for testing.

You're welcome to add a feature like this or anything else as a pull request, and I might try look at these scripts later to make them suitable for public use, but it's not really in my plan to make these universally valid install scripts, there are other ones out there.

If any can supply a one liner for detecting architecture I might as well add it if you don't put it as a pull request yourself.
