Once most edge cases are fixed I can add that as an option. Someone else mentioned that for example there is issue with
3 lbs. 6.4 oz.
and if the option was already there you would just see
1.36 kg 181 g
I would not want to ruin someone's birthday cake
from everything-metric.

Would love this too. As for edge cases the removal can be disabled on those cooking units until it is fixed?
Another idea is to show the original when mouseovering a converted unit.
