+1 - This would be really helpful for web site projects

Yes, please have a look there. I am using Visual Studio 2013 and have the same problem.
"FileNesting" and also the "NestIn" Extension doesn't work either with a Website. So there is currently no existing extension that can handle the problem.
If i use the shortcut ctrl+alt+n then visual studio shows a message: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: source.

Website projects in Visual Studio doesn't support dynamic file nesting. Web Essentials provide some static rules for file nesting, but since dynamic nesting isn't supported I didn't wanted to add that logic to this extension
