Is there appetite to pull from other data sources?

pro-football-reference has:

  • Stadium (including turf type and attendance)
  • Weather (temp & wind)
  • Local kick-off time and game duration
  • Coin toss winner and their decision
  • Coach and starting rosters
  • Vegas lines
  • Officials (Referee, umpire, down judge, etc)

All of the above is available dating to the start of the PBP data and is scrape-able.
I have the data set, but haven't tied NFL API game_id to pro-football-reference game_id

I personally like the idea of keeping nflscrapR with functions accessing only NFL API data - but having other packages that can access other sources like pro-football-reference data but is joinable to the nflscrapR data based on the game date and teams (that uniquely identifies games making it easy to join). If you have the code to do so for pro-football-reference already, then it would be awesome for you to share with others as a package (I can assist with that part if you want).
