Hey man,

Sorry, I don't have any good ideas off the top of my head. Thing is, the bridge is really built for message passing, not streaming events.

I can tell you how the bridge works to see if that helps you, and then I have an idea what may be going wrong.

First: the bridge notifies the ObjC UIWebViewDelegate by changing the URL of a hidden iframe. This causes the delegate's webViewDidFinishLoad method to fire, at which point it can reach into the webview using stringByEvaluatingJavascriptFromString and fetch the messages. That's how we get notified of messages without polling.

Second: If you start scrolling a UIWebView, the webkit engine disables the javascript execution thread in order to ensure smooth scrolling. Is it possible that you're causing the page to start scrolling while collecting those touch events?

Cheers

Either way, I'm going to close this issue as it's not really an intended use case and I have no idea how I'd fix it.

Btw, are you sure you should be doing things that way? It sounds like you should really be handling the touch events in ObjC, not JS.

Cheers
