Oh, I found out that dragonfly works if I change the association in Beverage to

has_one :pro_picture, :as => :imageable, :class_name => 'Picture'

Hi - I've just uploaded version 0.5.6, which hopefully fixes this issue.
It turns out it was not working properly with Single-Table Inheritance in general
