Thanks for opening the issue. I am able to reproduce the InvalidArgument static analysis errors with psalm. I'll get these fixed.

Version 2.8.1 has been released which has numerous internal improvements to improve static analysis runs of Psalm while maintining PHPStan 100% passing.

There is still more work to get Psalm passing for various checks, but the number type checks should be fixed, as well as numerous other invalid argument-type mistakes.

Please give the latest version a try. If there are still Psalm static analysis issues you need addressed please post them here. As a long term goal for version 3.0 of the library I am going to try to get Psalm passing and running in CI to prevent regressions.
