Thanks the response was:

b"..." strings are of type &[u8, N] and fixed size arrays only implement most traits up to length 32

So providing a type likw this works:

let a: &[u8] = b"abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFG";

With another library I was using [u8] with my strings but that would fail as it expected a known size at compile time where inferring it was easier than knowing the number of elements..

Might be useful to include an example of a longer string with the typing like above? Or is it common knowledge and just something beginners to Rust trip up on?
