Hi Thomas!
Thanks a lot for offering to sponsor me! I signed up for Github sponsors and the profile should go online in the next few days. I will try to maintain the digitalSTROM component for as long as I reasonably can, but please understand that I don't personally own a digitalSTROM system. I was given access to the system by my university for limited time. In the future it will become harder to develop and test new features.
Hope this helps!

👍Done, sent a little thank you. :) That's obviously a bit tricky without a DS system, but if you need access to one, we maybe find a solution. I am also in constructive contact with the technical support team at DS for some bugs, perhaps you could simply offer your services for hardware.😉 A functioning HASS adapter would certainly be very interesting for the manufacturer Digitalstrom as they lack the dev capacities.

I also offer to support here, gladly Discord. I have pointed out your well-working add-on to Digitalstrom Support and asked them to check whether if it's possible to sponsor hardware for you, let's see. 🤷‍♂️

Hi Mat, also a big thanks from my side. Great work and also the reason for me to switch to Home Assistant.
One thing that I‘m missing is to implement the DS scenes in Hass so that I have my switches virtual in Hass. Reason is that when I e.g. switch light on via Hass, DS Switch doesn‘t know. And pressing the DS switch in real runs the DS scene and doesn’t switch off the running Hass scene. So every time I need to press the DS switch twice.
A solution would be great.

All the best
Hansi

Hi Hansi! I don't have much experience with DS scenes and I don't have a system to test on right now. I know that there are apartment scenes, zone scenes and device scenes. Apartment scenes can already be called in HA so I'm assuming you're not talking about them. I implemented apartment scenes as a Home Assistant 'switch' so you can call or undo them. Do you think the undo functionality is needed for zone scenes and device scenes as well? If not I could implement them as Home Assistant scenes which can only be called and not undone. And is it important to see in HA if a scene is active? (I don't know yet if that can be implemented as I'm imagining it) Once the code is written I would appreciate some help testing it :) Maybe you have Discord then we can write there.

Hi everyone

I am new to Home Assistant but not new to dS, which I use since 2016. The existence of this dS integration, and how well and easy it was to install, kept my interest in Home Assistant (beside the Stiebel-Eltron integration). I am astonished what is possible now. Many thanks to Mat!!!

I am not so sure if the dS company would support this project, however. I think they are quite proud of their solution and think that integration to other systems is not so important. At least that's what I read between the lines of them.
But if there would be a group of dS hardware owners that would be interested in a continuous development of this integration, they could buy some dS hardware to lend it to Mat in order to be able to develop on it, when it comes to that. If such a group would come up, I would participate.

I also am stuck in what belongs to scenes/scenarios. I am able to use simple on/off switches for the light or venetian blinds. But I don't find control elements for scenes with dimmed light, positioned blinds etc. There are many "call_group_scenes" event entities, but I have no knowledge what to do with them, and they cannot be added to my dashboards. If there is a way to call scenes, I would need some documentation on how to use them.

Kind regards,

Daniel

Hi everyone
I am owner of an older DS installation, which i'm about to Update. I could provide an older dSS-11, a dSM11 three dSF11 and maybe a yellow brick (these i won't update and still need them). Would this help you @Mat931 ? I'm living in Switzerland in concern of shipping and taxes.
Greetings
