Can't save stickynotes

The folder was not created on my Ubuntu 11.10 install, but it was created on my Mint 12 install. All packages up-to-date. I'm not going close this issue just yet. I'm going to leave it open for 10 more days and see if anyone else reports the folder missing.

I have this issue too. On Linux Mint 12 x64. I am start this discussion on Linux Mint forum.
The folder "mate" in "/home/username/.config" was not created. Now I manually create this folder and stickynotes applet work fine.

I have .config/mate in Debian Wheezy. I'll try to investigate about this issue.

~/.config/mate won't be created when "other" doesn't have write permissions to ~/.config. I've been able to test and confirm this theory. Since this isn't a Mate issue, I'll be closing this issue within the next few days.

My .config folder have '755' permissions.
What is yours permissions? What permissions is right?

I have fresh installation of Linux Mint 12 on new computer. By default it login in Gnome. I install all new Mate packages from tridex wile in Gnome. Then I relogin to Mate and I see 'mate' folder in '.config'. This folder was created when I login to Mate. All good.
Why this folder was not created in my previous installation? I don't know. I think it because different installation process.
