I've discovered that this is only happening when using Compiz instead of Marco. @flexiondotorg Are you using Compiz too?
from mate-applets.
I'm using Compton. Will test with just Marco next week.

I can reproduce this using Marco with compositing enabled.

@infirit - I can no longer reproduce this in mate-applets
1.7.1 with or without compositing. Suggest this is closed.

@infirit I still have the problem. I'm in Mate 1.8.0 with Compiz 0.9.11. I've never had the problem in Marco with compositing enabled, only in Compiz.

I don't see anything on lines 938 through 954 of sticknotes.c that would indicate that the numbers being pulled from the XML file have anything to do with what window manager you use. It only happens on the first load of the sticky applets, not when toggling their visibility by clicking on the applet icon.

OK, I have reproduced with Marco. It didn't do it the first few logins, but it is now.

That's interesting that you can reproduce it with Marco. It works fine for me with Marco (compositing enabled).
