So, booted into it this afternoon, and the applets I had set (so Clock, Workspaces, Show Desktop and Window List) were there.

Menu Applets still didn't show when added though....

I'm about to update to todays build.

I'm starting to wonder whether it's a problem with mate-panel, because since I moved to the MATE GTK3 branch, it's been hit-and-miss about whether I have any applets show at all on login.

Sometime I login and I have the Clock, Workspaces, Show Desktop and Window List applets (the ones I set), other logins I have a blank panel.

pls, use latest mate-themes git snapshot, Menta and BlueMenta themes have now a valid panel theme configuration.
Or increase the height of the panel.

Hmph... So things seem to have settled down and are working now with the latest few build for ArchLinux. I'll go ahead and close this now.
