Investigate auto-complete for text fields

Is there any update on the status of this functionality...or any recommended way to implement autocomplete functionality?

Any news on this?

On the demos, autocomplete support is mentioned, but there are no working examples in the demo and the mdc-textfield component's documentation doesn't mention autocomplete.

I'm about to start a new project and I need to know if mdc supports this or if there is an existing third-party implementation for mdc.

It's not currently supported in MDC.

Anything with an open issue for tracking is planned to be supported. To get a rough expected date you can find the project management issues in the pivotal tracker. Keep in mind these aren't set dates or timeframes. As the project moves forward things may slip back (or come forward) based on the speed of future development and what extra work all-around may need to be done.
