You're right. But remember that we are on a software and some things are impossible to make with a "simply" theme. I will study some interaction to implement in the next beta releases.
- The sidebar show/hide is animated on OS X.
- The command palette already have a drop shadow. I can't use a simple box-shadow rule because this is not css.
- The guidelines for the tabs provide even a no-animation on switching.
