This post is related to the problem mentioned above.

I just tried to apply the 'Generate Bash Tags' script that uses 'mteFunctions' to 'YUP - Base Game + All DLC.esm' and get an error saying:

Exception in unit mteFunctions line 1296: '[1' is not a valid integer value

With the change from above, a problem arises in line 975 inside the GetTextIn function if the index for the opening is the very first character (index = 0). In that specific case the CopyFromTo function needs to be like it was before the change (openIndex + 2).

Solution

Change:

Result := CopyFromTo(str, openIndex + 1, i - 1);

to:

if openIndex = 0 then
  Result := CopyFromTo(str, openIndex + 2, i - 1)
else
  Result := CopyFromTo(str, openIndex + 1, i - 1);
