Wrapping indented text with a tag causes no indention of a tag

I wonder that someone want to contain leading spaces, for example.

def foo():
  print "foo"

python require leading spaces for expression. when they want to lines above for wrap with pre>code, if remove indent spaces, it break the code.

Indention before the opening tag and not inside the tag. Sorry for not giving all the details.
