Taking a stab at this. Instead of phrasing it around laziness, I think it's more constructive to consider that they might just not know how to word it.

Alternatively, it can be seen as:
Foobar123: I have a question about Java but I'm not sure how to ask it, so I'll wait until there's someone who might be able to answer it before I try.
It's an understandable feeling, but it comes off as a bit lazy. If you're not willing to do the work to solve your problem, why should we? A poorly formed question is better than no question at all, and still opens the stage for immediate advice or clarification that can help you solve your problem faster.
