Hi there 🙂 You need to use the latest stable rust, I haven't used rustup myself but I think it's what everyone recommends to do.

Finally I also attached pre-compiled release archive, on linux you can download that and it contains everything necessary to run make install.

Indeed, it builds with rust 1.54. Should version number be checked at build time?

I don't think I want to chase rapidly-changing Rust versions in this project 😅

I expanded README a bit, also added CI badge showing whether Github itself was able to compile the app and execute tests: 3a7ab62

The logic being, if Github was able to compile, the issue is probably on end-user side. How does this sound?
